“Nexus” signifies “a starting point” that the council strives to be for youth change and advocacy in the community. As the name implies, Youth Nexus has been a starting point since 1999 by providing opportunities for young people to make a difference in their community. The council influences other young people to create positive change by funding youth-led community service projects, being civically engaged, and performing their own community service projects.
